Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay opens with an inviting slightly musty citrus bouquet that includes pineapple, melon and vanilla notes. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, crisp and refreshing. The acidity is mouthwatering and integrated with balanced minerality. The flavor profile is a lemon-lime and pear blend with notes of light green apple and vanilla. Some pink grapefruit appears on the pleasing dry finish. I would recommend pairing this Finger Lakes Chardonnay with a Caesar salad, hold the anchovies! - Joe
Winemaker Notes: The floral and fruity bouquets of this wine, with mineral and toasty elements, are in harmony with this style of Chardonnay. The aromas of white peach, quince and melon on the nose give way to a supple texture with good fruit concentration, vibrant acidity and a clean finish. This Chardonnay exemplifies the food friendly style that we strive for at Dr. Frank's with good acidity, integrated and not overwhelming oak, and moderate alcohol.
