Wine Review: Don't let the name or labeling fool you, this is not some gimmicky Chardonnay. Enjoy the labeling and read why this Chardonnay is called "Run Riot" (there is a reason) as you sip this inaugural offering. It is golden straw colored and opens with a shy but inviting floral bouquet with undertones of tropical fruit and some hints of tangerines and light oak. I enjoyed its smooth mouthfeel. It displays flavors of light tropical fruits including pineapple and a touch of green apple and oak. It also has some lively, yet balanced acidity mixed in. The finish is a pleasing and some buttery grapefruit shows up and lingers nicely. There are many food options to pair with this Chardonnay. I thought a creamy ham and pea pasta carbonara would nicely compliment this very good Chardonnay. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Crafted to be bold enough to match our Pinot Noir, Run Riot Chardonnay is its own swirling Central Coast success story: A big, rich and buttery wine that never loses sight of its liveliness—despite its marvelous mayhem.
