Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Chardonnay is a very over the top style of wine. It opens with a butterscotch and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is an oak influenced Bartlett pear, butterscotch and ripe pineapple. I also detected hints of lemon and mango. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard is a rich style. Readers who love this style of Chard will enjoy a glass or two at their favorite wine bar. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale yellow with a green tinge to the hue. Aromas of yellow peach, mango with a slight citrus note intertwine seamlessly with vanilla and spice. The palate is rich and round, with the mango and vanilla fighting for the lime light, while the cream texture, vanilla and slight butter combine seamlessly. The balanced acidity closes out the finish bringing the multiple components into balance. Our favorite pairing for this wine is a lobster roll.
