Wine Review: This white gold colored Sparkling Wine from Roederer Estate opens lots of random medium bubbles. The bouquet features a lime zest and bread dough bouquet with a hint of green apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is a balanced, round, and pleasantly foamy. The flavor profile is a toasted almond and lime blend with notes of brioche, chalky minerality and green apple. I also detected hints of chamomile tea and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This crowd-pleasing Anderson Valley sparkler would be an affordable option to serve at your New Year’s Eve party. It will also pair nicely with several appetizers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Roederer Estate Brut is crisp and elegant with complex pear, spice, and hazelnut flavors. It is fresh and lightly fruity with great finesse and depth of flavor.
