Wine Review: This straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Rodney Strong opens with a lime and mild grapefruit bouquet with hints of candied ginger. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth and zesty. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality, white pepper and lime blend with notes of yellow grapefruit, ginger, and saline. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with sushi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fresh, bright, and crisp, this Sauvignon Blanc is a wine of balance, richness and aromatic complexity. Leading with zesty citrus notes of grapefruit, Meyer lemon and a light grassiness, this wine gives way to more tropical fruit and melon characteristics. This classic Sonoma County style Sauvignon Blanc ends with clean, refreshing acidity and pairs beautifully with toasted brie, seared scallops, oysters with mignonette and fresh pasta with sweet peas and a lemon cream sauce.
