Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with black currant, blackberry, and toasted coconut bouquet with a hint of violets, oak, and red bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth and a little dense. The flavor profile is blueberry and blackberry blend with notes of oak, graphite, and black tea. We also detected hints of toasted coconut and dried strawberry. The finish is dry and is managed moderate tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with Lucia’s fork tender slow braised beef, shallot, carrot, garlic, and burgundy mushroom ragu tossed with rigatoni pasta or with parmigiana encrusted veal chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Alexander's Crown exhibits ripe flavors of black currant, blackberries and violets. The wine is voluptuous, has a rich mouthfeel, soft tannins and a long lingering finish with notes of dried herbs and a touch of mocha. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for enjoyment in 8 to 10 years.
