Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Bordeaux styled blend from Rodney Strong shows terrific refinement and finesse. It opens with a mild black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant with nicely integrated minerality and oak. I also detected hints of blueberry as well. The finish is dry and its very well managed fine tannins drift away nicely. This wine is quite elegant and would pair nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Symmetry is a luxurious bouquet of blackberries, black cherry, plum and crushed lavender which unfold on the palate with silky layers of black fruits, dark chocolate covered espresso beans and baking spices. This wine is rich, harmonious and elegant with a long, lingering finish. Enjoy this wine now with a beef bourguignon, a lamb roast or a roasted vegetable tart or cellar for enjoyment for years to come.
