Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot Noir opens with a mild red cherry bouquet with hints of spice and red licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry with nicely integrated mild oak. I also detected hints of strawberry licorice and a touch of black pepper. The finish is dry and subtle. This Pinot is not overly complex, but it is very food friendly and will be a crowd pleaser. I would pair it with grilled mahi mahi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Soft and silky, with intriguing floral and crushed pomegranate aromas, this medium bodied wine was aged for nine months in small, French oak barrels which added a hint of toasty vanilla and spice complexity. Ideal for current enjoyment, this Pinot Noir will age nicely over the next two to four years.
