Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet from Rodney Strong would make a nice glass pour option. It opens with an inviting eucalyptus, black cherry, mild oak and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, not overly complex, but very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused black cherry with hints of minerality and a touch of black currant. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins last for a little while after the wine is gone. This is a very nice everyday Cab. I would pair this with brick oven pizza and our favorite loaded burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A deep, saturated color leads to lifted aromas of blackberry, cocoa, and herby black-currant, followed by a rich, layered mouthfeel, loaded with juicy black cherry, cedar, and creme de cassis, and structured with ripe, mature tannins. Enjoy this seductive Cabernet Sauvignon now and over the next several years.
