Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a very fragrant black cherry, cedar, plum and light strawberry on like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy, lush and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe plum with notes of black raspberry and acai. I also detected a touch of tea, light clove and old oak. The finish is dry and fruit flavors linger. At the same time its mild tannins are friendly and approachable. We suggest pairing this Pinot with Pot Roast. Enjoy – Ken.
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Nugent Vineyard Pinot Noir is medium ruby in color, with stunning clarity. The nose is classic Russian River, with strawberry, briar, raspberry and cola aromas. The palate is darker and richer, with cherry, blackberry and licorice flavors, accompanied by lively acidity and spicy, earthy undertones.
