Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Robert Mondavi opens with a black cherry, oak and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The flavor profile is a black cherry and black currant blend with notes of oak and stony minerality. I also detected hints of dark cocoa and black olive. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab would pair well with homemade meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Framed by lovey bright acidity and fine tannins, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon has vibrant fruit notes shining through to the end.
Aromas of cherry, purple plum, sage, sandalwood, mint & vanilla bean.
Flavors of sweet black fruit, warm oak spice & chocolatey texture.
Pairs with cheeseburgers and grilled lamb.
