Wine Review: This white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Mondavi opens with gooseberry and wet stone bouquet with hints of honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused lime with notes of white pepper, nectarine and a bit of grapefruit towards the end. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors stick around for a while after the wine is gone. I would pair this Fume with oysters or sushi. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A kaleidoscope of lively tangerine and lime zest, gooseberry, honeydew melon, jasmine, and orange blossom aromas swirl into a crisp sip of lemon-lime citrus, melon, and fresh meadow flavors with a touch of pea tendrils and newly-cut ginger root in a vibrantly refreshing wine that sends waves of flavor along its wonderfully long, lingering finish.
