Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah opens with a blackberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of Good n' Plenty and a touch of black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and delicate for a Syrah. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry and stony minerality blend with notes of oak. We also detected hints of black licorice, oolong tea, and light chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and medium tannins linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah with Jiko's wild boar or braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This 100% Syrah from the Solari Vineyard in Calistoga shows ripe red fruit, red cherry, and raspberry candy aromas. The mid-palate is rich and beautifully balanced with natural acidity. The finishing tannins are super soft and elegant. Go back and check out the aromas again... and again!
