Wine Review: This mouthwatering Barbera from Piedmont, Italy is a clear, medium red color with aromas of red cherry, bond fire, pine pitch, tar, and cedar. On the palate it is tart, medium bodied with plus acidity, straight forward and juicy. There are flavors of red raspberry, bramble, rhubarb, flint, light minerality and a spice note. Light but coarse tannins, dry, moderate finish. Versatile and food friendly, this is a good value and great pizza wine. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Deep-ruby garnet in color, the fruit forward nose exhibits black cherry and spice followed by a lush, medium-full bodied palate and a rich fruit finish. Pairs especially well with Bolognese but is a classic pair for all types of pasta.
