Wine Review: This translucent and pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Quivira is very good. It opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lemon verbena. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a yellow grapefruit, stony minerality and stone fruit blend with notes of lime zest. I also picked up some hints of lemon verbena and ginger. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this tasty Sauvignon Blanc with grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale yellow in color and bright with a slight green tinge. The nose has forward tangerine and honeydew melon with high toned green notes of fresh cut grass and a salinity reminiscent of kelp on a Northern California beach in the winter. The mouth starts with round melon and clementine but changes through the middle to brighter tart tangerine with river rock minerality that is held together with a touch of bitter herbs.
