Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Sousao from Portugal opens with a black cherry and ripe blueberry bouquet with hints of new leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and Old World in style. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced tart black cherry with notes red currant and hints of red raspberry. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins linger nicely. This wine would pair well with grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Flavour: Very concentrated, with balsamic oak notes, black fruits, tobacco and spices. Taste: Full bodied, fleshy with an excellent acidity, long fresh finish with black fruits note.
