Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Predecessor on Howell Mountain opens with a black currant and black licorice jellybean bouquet with hints of black cherry liquor, graphite, and book leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky-smooth, lush, and rich. The flavor profile is very tasty red currant and ripe black cherry blend with notes of graphite and oolong tea. We also detected hints of tobacco, lingonberry, vanilla, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its well-managed and polished fine grained tannins build-up and linger and last for quite a while. We would pair this bold, yet refined Cab with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
