Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Predecessor on Howell Mountain opens with a black currant and graphite bouquet with hints of dark cherry, black tea, violets, and black licorice, On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, velvety smooth, lush, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is tobacco and black currant blend with notes of cherry-cola and cedar. We also detected hints of gentle graphite, nutmeg, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, well-managed and polished dusty tannins build-up and drift away nicely. This Cab is certainly a sipper wine. With food we would decant it for a while before serving it with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
