Wine Review: This friendly 100% Sangiovese from Italy is a brilliant, medium garnet color. It produces aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, rose petals, almond, tobacco leaf and smoke. Quite juicy on the palate, it is medium-plus bodied with medium-plus acidity. The wine is balanced, crisp, dry, and nicely concentrated. Flavors of ripe blackberry, clove, coffee, and earth, with hints of black cherry and dried herbs. The finish has round and drying tannins and is moderate in length. This weeknight red would go nicely with beef lasagna. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The color is bright ruby red with garnet reflections; fragrance of great complexity, rich in nuances, in which strong hints of ripe red fruit, elegant balsamic notes, sweet spices, such as vanilla and black chocolate are recognized. The deep and silky tannins, well balanced by volume and freshness, give this wine a harmonious and persistent taste and a long aging perspective in the bottle. Ideal with game and red meat dishes or as a meditation wine.
