Wine Review: This Philippe Melka made wine is slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored. It opens with a pleasing black cherry bouquet with hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a prominent mineral infused black cherry with hints of blueberry. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. Our mini-tasting group would pair this with a Colorado rack of lamb or braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep in color and complexity, this wine combines expressive red fruit aromas with dark chocolate and blueberry flavors accented by hints of oak spice that evolve across the plate. A juicy yet beautifully balanced wine with a rich mouth feel and persistent finish.
