Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored blend from Washington State opens with a fragrant blackberry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced, smooth, and juicy. The flavor profile is a blend of black cherry and black raspberry. I also detected notes of blueberry, gentle oak and a dash of black pepper that all add to its complexity and intrigue. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are very very lengthy. This is a superior wine and just plain delicious. A second glass is a must and a second bottle is not out of the question if you really like your guests. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A rich, deeply colored wine bursting with complex aromas and flavors of wild berries, black cherry, currant, licorice and cedar. Firm and focused, yet elegantly styled, the 2007 Pirouette combines richness and depth with silky tannins to provide a lush mouthfeel and lingering finish.
