Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Pinot Noir from Pike Road opens with a black raspberry and cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild black cherry and mild minerality blend with notes of gentle cola and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair nicely with filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Briary and structured, this wine's complex nose of triple berry, hibiscus, morel mushrooms and bitter chocolate leads to a core of both red and black fruits featuring cherry pie, raspberries, wet stone and tobacco in a lengthy finish.
