Wine Review: This straw-colored Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige opens with a Bartlett pear and mild pineapple bouquet with hints of Granny Smith apple. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, seamless, and supple. The flavor profile is Granny Smith apple and white peach blend with notes of almond and mild pineapple. I also detected hints of white pepper and lime. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. I would pair this very food friendly Pinot Grigio with seared scallops with a Pinot Gris butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Straw yellow to golden yellow.
Bouquet: Inspiring fruity, a powerful bouquet of ripe fruits, a wide array of aromas (pear, tropical fruits, and fine wood flavor)
Recommended pairings: Appetizers, fish and vegetable-based main courses, and white meats.
