Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla opens with a black currant bouquet with hints black plum, nutmeg, and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and dense. The flavor profile is a graphite and black currant blend with notes of black licorice and cedar. We also detected some hints of black plum and black tea mixed in. The finish is dry and its bold and dusty tannins are pronounced. The Tasting Panel would decant this Cab for a while before pairing it with a well-marbled ribeye steak or roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon starts with inviting aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, ripe dark cherry, spice, dried herb, cedar, and loamy earth. This expressive wine serves up flavors of dense blackberry, ripe plum, mineral and chocolate flavors that are both refined and focused. It has the structure to last through the next decade, with the plush elegance to enjoy it now.
