Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Peay opens with a mild red cherry and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of lingonberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, delicate, and graceful. The flavors profile is a tasty black plum and light loam blend with notes of toasted oak, black tea, and red plum. I also detected a hint of craisin. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. This pinot paired very well with the salmon strudel wrapped in spinach and filo at the Silver Fork restaurant in Manchester, VT. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2022 bursts out of the glass with a beam of dark raspberry, pomegranate, orange zest, and black trumpet mushroom aromas. In addition to the fruit aromas, a little tea, sour cherry, brass, and bark frame the wine in the aftertaste and finishes with our hallmark fresh acidity making you salivate.
