Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec and Cabernet based blend from Paso Robles opens with an appealing boysenberry bouquet with hints of red raspberry and craisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and loaded with ripe fruit. The flavor profile is an extracted black raspberry and boysenberry blend with some nicely integrated fine mineralty. I also detected some mild oak and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a little chewy and linger for quite a while. I would decant this wine in the near term as it benefits from some aeration. I would pair it with a New York Strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our flagship Bordeaux blend is ripe and perfumed. Expect aromas of sweet Italian Panettone, mint, oak, herbs, and earth on the nose. Taste of fresh red fruits and creamy vanilla oak spices on the palate.
