Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from Peachy Canyon opens with a fragrant black cherry-cola bouquet with hints of boysenberry and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry with notes of minerality and oak. We also detected hints of blackberry preserves and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its medium tannins linger slightly. The panel suggested drinking this Zin in the near term and serving it with venison stew and wild mushroom soup. Enjoy – KWGTP
