Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Zin got consistent scores from our mini panel. It opens with a red raspberry bouquet with a hint of menthol and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a spicy black cherry and vanilla with hints of menthol and oak. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are moderate and linger slightly. The group would pair this pleasant Zin with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: If black inky purple zin is what you seek, this is the wine for you. Aromas are made up of toasty vanilla, chocolate and array of berry fruits. The mouth feel is bursting with ripe raspberries, cherries and blueberries. With the addition of the Petite Sirah the wine has everlasting longevity.
