Wine Review: This Syrah from Pax is Excellent. It is showing fantastic right now and I would recommend it for near term drinking. It is a very dark ruby color. It opens with an old oak and black raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced and juicy. Its fruit forward flavor profile is a delicious blend of black cherry and black raspberry with a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are quite lengthy. This outstanding Syrah is should be consumed and enjoyed in the next 2 to 3 years. Pair it with a pork tenderloin. Cheers - Ken
