Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Paul Hobbs is very good. It opens with an attractive and fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of oak, cherry and ripe plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced soft and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black raspberry and oak blend with notes of refined minerality, spice and boysenberry. We also detected hints of mentholated cherry and chocolate. The finish is dry and its gentle tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with Coq au Vin or ginger and teriyaki meatballs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Sourced predominately from our estates that are defined by their proximity to the coast and Russian River climate, the wine displays vivid crimson and aromas of violet, Morello cherry, and black tea. Velvet tannins on the palate ride along a juicy backbone of flavors such as cranberry, Blood orange, and Damson plum. The finish is long, powered behind a crisp acidity and appealing red clay-like minerality.
