Wine Review: This Excellent Chardonnay from Pahlmeyer was one of the top wines at a tasting that I recently attended. It is white gold colored and opens with a lemon and light oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, rich, and creamy. The flavor profile is a delicious vanilla oak and creme brulee blend with notes of Bartlett pear. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Chardonnay would pair perfectly with my Chicken St. Timothy recipe. Share a bottle over dinner with someone special Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An abundance of aromas flow from the glass of the 2010 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Chardonnay. Lime zest and honeysuckle lead to notes of vanilla and fondant. Clean, crisp acidity balances rich peach-like nectar on the palate. The mouthwatering, expansive finish evolves from notes of orange zest and lemon meringue to toasted brioche and graham cracker.
