Wine Review: Deep ruby in color, this Pinot Noir opens with earthy, wild mushroom and gunpowder aromas. On the palate, the wine is light-plus to medium-bodied with flavors of cherry and pomegranate chased by hints of apple skin and steeped tea. Mineral and iron notes add tension without overshadowing the fruit. Likewise, both the medium-plus acidity and dusty tannins add structure and lead to a durable finish. Pair with baked Faroe Islands salmon filets over wild rice. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: The pale ruby color opens on the nose with young berry, wet stone, and fresh herbal notes. Once it hits your palette you immediately taste light juicy cherry, hints of smokiness and forest floor. The super soft tannins linger on the medium finish. A great everyday Pinot and a perfect crowd pleaser that compliments most light fare.
