Wine Review: This slightly opaque medium purple colored Zinfandel opens with a raspberry jam and black plum bouquet with hints of cinnamon and red Twizzler. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with pleasant integrated bright acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, super-smooth and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is delicious blend of black raspberry and stewed black plum blend with notes of graphite, dried herbs, orange peel, and clove. We also detected hints of red Twizzler towards the end. The finish is dry and its fine dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with Roy’s rib roast or with Italian beef braciole. Enjoy – KWGTP
