Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a brambly boysenberry bouquet with hints of peach, rhubarb and autumn leaves. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is peach, red currant, and graphite blend with notes of oolong tea and red cherry. We also detected hints of plump raisin, oak, and dried herbs at the very end. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Old School styled Zin with duck confit, Osso Buco, or grilled lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP
