Wine Review: This deep purple colored Malbec from Mendoza opens with an earthy ripe blackberry, black cherry, clove and light oak bouquet with hints of florals. The medium to full bodied palate is smooth, slightly dry and jammy with balanced tannins and acidity. The flavor profile is black fruit including blackberry, black cherry and black plum. I also picked up some spice notes and light oak. The finish is dry and its grippy tannins fade away nicely. I would recommend pairing this very good value Malbec with a braised beef stew. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: This intense wine has a deep red hue with remarkable shades of violet. The nose offers aromas of plum and cassis and some mineral notes with well-integrated oak. On the palate the wine is elegant, fresh, and delicate with a medium structure and a long finish. Pair with grilled or roast red meats, wild game, or with semi-hard cheeses.
