Wine Review: This pale gold colored Gewurztraminer was clearly the best of three from a mini-tasting we had over the weekend. It opens with fragrant ginger and mild tangerine bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty mild Anjou pear with notes of ginger. I also detected hints of oak, mild minerality and nutmeg. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Gewurztraminer is very food friendly and it would pair well with pasta carbonara. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A cuvee from eight vineyard blocks was selected in April 2015. Ironically, while we avoided heat during harvest, this dry, aromatic Gewurz is lovely to serve with spicy foods like curry, hot sausages or Pad Thai noodles.
