Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Navarro was very well received by those that tried it. It opens with a mild oak and Bosc pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, elegant and round. The flavor profile is a tasty mild pear and gentle minerality blend with notes faint oak and green apple in the background. I also detected a hint of pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair nicely with chicken francese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A cuvee was selected from the individual lots in May, then bottled in June after nine months of barrel aging. Notes from Navarro's imaginative Tasting Panel: poached pear, red apple crisp, creme brulee, toasted almond, mouth-filling.
