Wine Review: This pale straw Colombard from France opens with a grapefruit like bouquet with a hint of a lily of the valley flower. On the palate this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused yellow grapefruit and Anjou pear blend with a hint of pineapple in the background. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine is a very good value and a perfect wine for the beach. I would pair it with grilled swordfish kabobs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 100% Colombard harvested at night results in an aromatic, fresh wine packed with aromas and flavors of citrus, stone, tree and tropical fruits supported by blackcurrant leaf and underlyinging minerality. This wine will express itself best as an aperitif or with any seafood. Serve chilled at 50 F.
