Wine Review: This pale ruby colored Carignan from Minus Tide open with a red cherry, cranberry and cola bouquet with hints of black plum and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. We also found it to be round and juicy. The flavor profile is cranberry and tart cherry blend with notes of medium oak and red raspberry. We also detected hints of dried herbs, flinty minerality and a touch of strawberry licorice towards the end. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins and fruit drift away nicely. This Carignan would pair well with crispy skin salmon, pork schnitzel or a grilled rosemary encrusted rack of lamb. Enjoy – Ken
