Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with a black cherry and black tea bouquet with hints of clove and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and refined. The flavor profile is a tasty black tea and wild strawberry blend with notes of pomegranate and black pepper. I also detected hints of cherry, vanilla, loam, clove, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this Pinot with veal medallions with sauteed mushrooms. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The certified-organic Dach vineyard in Anderson Valley is a model of balance. That balance in the vineyard is also displayed in the wines. 2022 Dach features a bold nose of red fruit, forest floor, plum and blueberry. A rich, inviting entry is balanced by crisp acidity and rounded tannins. Hints of almond and autumnal spices enhance the finish.
