Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Merriam opens with an apple and pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and on the bright side for a Chard. The flavor profile is a lime and green apple blend with notes of pineapple and stony minerality. I also detected hints of white tea and faint oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors fade away nicely. I would pair this Chard with a Ritz cracker encrusted baked cod. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This beautiful golden white wine showcases a perfume of vanilla, honey, and butterscotch. Layered flavors of vanilla follow on the tongue, complemented by notes of honey crisp apples and Crème Brûlée.
