Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with an inviting Dr. Pepper and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a plum and old oak blend with notes of black tea. I also detected hints dark chocolate. The finish is dry and it drifts away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with pulled pork root beer sliders. – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Handcrafted from a single vineyard with aromas of a bouquet of flowers, baking spices and black cherry. A soft and silky texture on the palate, it tastes like fresh berry jam on warm toast with a long finish of chocolate pie covered with whipped cream.
