Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from Merriam opens with a smoky oak and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and plum blend with hints of blackberry and gentle oak in the background. The finish is dry and its refined tannins are friendly, yet show some good length. This wine would be perfect with veal parmigianna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An elegant blend, the 2007 Miktos is dark ruby red in color with concentrated aromas of black berry fruits. On the palate, it is packed with layers of black cherry, cassis, blueberry and just a hint of pomegranate. Full bodied with refined tannins, this wine is supple, polished and balanced with a long, lingering and satisfying finish.
