Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Merriam opens with a mentholated cherry and red plum bouquet with hints of strawberry licorice, cassis and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is velvety and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a blend of stewed plum and allspice along with notes of juicy blackberry, and vanilla. We also detect hints of cinnamon and cedar plank. The finish is rather dry and its grippy dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine would pair well with a messy rack of Firefly's St. Louis ribs with Memphis sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A deep purple dry red blend with a fruit-forward nose that is complemented by aromas of sweet tobacco leaves and earl grey tea. On the palate rich notes of blackberry and dark chocolate truffle dance on the tongue.
