Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a red plum, craisin, and blood orange bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tart stewed red plum and pomegranate blend with notes of iron, oak, and mushrooms. I also detected hints of RC Cola towards the end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and mild tannins linger nicely. This Pinot would pair well with the NY Times tacos de carnitas recipe. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A classic representation of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, this cuvée of 5 different clones showcases lush aromas of pomegranate, blueberry, and red plum, married with notes of pink rose petal, vanilla, and black tea. Notes of terroir in the form of wet soil and crushed leaves linger on the palate with a finishing touch of tart raspberry.
