Wine Review: This medium purple colored Merlot opens with a gentle black cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of black plum and musty apple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and rich. The flavor profile is boysenberry and gentle red plum blend with notes of oak and pomegranate. We also detected hints of rosemary, stony minerality, and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Merlot with hanger steak and stuffed pork crown roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This elegantly bold medium-bodied red wine has a velvety quality that translates in both nose and palate. Fruit forward notes of cherry and plum are complemented by undertones of violets, roses, and sandalwood on the nose. On the palate, top notes of boysenberry are met with structured tannins of tobacco and dark chocolate, finishing with layered notes of dried rosemary and thyme.
