Wine Review: This slightly opaque and deep ruby colored blend from Merriam opens with a toasted coconut and cherry Jolly Rancher bouquet with hints of strawberry licorice whips. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. We also found it to be smooth and easy drinking. The flavor profile is a tasty Bing cherry and gentle crushed stone blend with hints of blueberry, baking spice and faint red currant. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely with no noticeable tannins. This wine is very food friendly and versatile. It would pair nicely with your favorite pizza, a three-meat lasagna or a lamb burger. Enjoy – Ken, Mark & Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful color, deep magenta at the center gradating to purple at the edge. Raspberry, cherry, plum with a layer of vanilla on the nose. Black cherry, cassis and dark berry pie dance around the palate. Soft tannins with a long lingering finish. Easy drinking now or hold it for a few years.
