Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a pomegranate and Dr. Pepper bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile, like the nose features Dr. Pepper along with a little black raspberry and oak and a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors subtly drift away. Because of its round edges this Pinot is food friendly. I would pair it a wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Classic color, bright light purple with garnet at the edge. Brilliant aromas of cherry, violet, and spice. Dark cherry, vanilla and white mushrooms. Bright acidity, and long creaminess on the finish. Our Pinot Noir is a classic Russian River profile wine.
