Wine Review: This light salmon colored Rose made from Pinot Noir opens with a mild strawberry and red cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to quaff. The flavor profile is a watermelon and light red cherry blend with nicely integrated mild minerality throughout. I also picked up a touch of strawberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Rose is very food friendly and would pair with many foods. I would personally have it with shrimp scampi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The resulting wine, a translucent salmon colored gem, displays ripe strawberry and watermelon with a pleasant hint of rose petals. The crispness and balance of the Merriam Rose make it the ideal wine to enjoy on a warm summer afternoon or to savor with a variety of foods such as grilled chicken and salmon, or Asian foods with a hint of spice. Especially wonderful are how the checker berry flavors will pop as it perfectly pairs with your summer barbecues. Enjoy!
