Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rockpile opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with a hint of boysenberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red currant and cherry-cola blend with notes of boysenberry and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and well-managed tannins sail away nicely. The Panel suggested we pair this Cab with a filet mignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Gloeckner-Turner Ranch has a rather broody nose of crushed black plums and black currants with hints of bay leaves, earth, cloves and cigar box. Medium-bodied with great finesse and expression in the mouth, the lively fresh black berry and herbal flavors are well-framed by ripe, grainy tannins, finishing long and with a spring in its step. Drink it over the next 15+ years.
